The Careers Centre runs a work shadowing programme every summer and winter where interested students have the opportunity to shadow a professional in their workplace. At some point during the summer break, between June 30th and September 1st, you will have the chance to shadow someone in an interested industry or sector for one day (more depending on the opportunity). This is a great way to try out a potential career or industry you might be interested in!

The Scottish Life Sciences Internship Programme is still open for two more weeks, and we have already seen a great number of candidates applying – all of the placements have had interest so far. Scholarships for Post-Graduate study in the USA 2016-17
Up to two Saint Andrew’s Society of the State of New York Scholarships (of not less than $30,000 each) will be awarded for one year of postgraduate study, normally in the New York or Washington DC areas in 2016-2017. To be eligible applicants must be Scottish by birth or recent descent. For further information and an application pack, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the heading ‘Saint Andrew’s Society of the State of New York Scholarships.’ The deadline for applications is Friday 12 February 2016.
University of St Andrews’ students have had success in applying for these scholarships in the past and usually only a handful applications is submitted within the University each year.
