Zeiss Axioplan 2

The Zeiss Axioplan 2 is an upright epi- fluorescent microscope that interphases with Zeiss’s Axiovision 4.8.1 software (manual as pdf).

This microscope system is fully automated in its ability to acquire, fluorescent, bright field, phase contrast and Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) images.  The software accommodates for either single channel images or combinations of multiple channel images.  There is also a Z-stack module for thicker tissue specimens.

Fluorescence Digital Imaging

The Fluorescent filter blocks available are for the excitation and emission of blue, green and red fluorochromes.

Filters available: Band Pass DAPI filter block, Band Pass FITC filter, Band Pass GFP filter, Long Pass TRICT/Rhodamine and Texas Red filters.
