I am interested in the science of data. Data and models – measurements and description of phenomena, they have been the foundation of modern science. My research concerns how statistical considerations contribute to advance knowledge and understanding of biological diversity.

I have been working on analysis and modelling of ecological data to delineate how species vary over the spatio-temporal scale, responding to the environment factors in different ways. This also needs to take into account for the uncertainty associated with the data. I am currently looking at the seasonal variation of biodiversity in a fish community that may play a key role in the maintenance of biodiversity.
