I studied at Glasgow and St Andrews Universities before working as a postdoc and education-focused lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. I was awarded a Research into Ageing Fellowship to return to the University of St Andrews and successfully won an Alzheimer’s Society Personal Fellowship following on from this. I was appointed as Lecturer in Neuroscience in the School of Psychology & Neuroscience in 2013 and promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2019.
