Welcome to the first Animal of the Week! To kick things off we’ve got Nasikabatrachus sahyadrensis; the Pignose frog. This Indian frog spends most of its life in burrows underground, emerging only to mate during the monsoon season. Most famous for its unusual appearance, this frog was first described in 2003.
